Just days before the premiere of his last film Riddick, the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce honored VIN DIESEL with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. And August 26th was proclaimed Vin Diesel Day by the City of Los Angeles with Councilmember Mitch O'Farrell presenting the Proclamation
Vin's family, friends, Hollywood stars, executives and fans gathered in front of the legendary Roosevelt Hotel on Hollywood Blvd at Orange St.
Guest speakers included Ron Meyer (President and COO Universal Studios) and Vin's Fast and Furious costar Michelle Rodriguez (pictured above with Vin on stage and seated with Vin's parents, other family and friends)
Paul Vincent, Vin's twin brother (pictured above), was also on hand and showed off Vin's plaque to commemorate the day as Vin signed a few autographs for the fans
Michelle Rodriguez also spent time signing autographs and taking photos with the fans at the Vin Diesel Walk of Fame ceremony
Vin worked up a sweat giving his acceptance speech for his Walk of Fame star and revealed that shooting for Fast and Furious 7 is set to begin in early September. Other upcoming projects include a movie of the popular 1970s TV show, Kojak and the 3rd installment of Riddick opens in theaters Friday, September 7th. After the ceremony, the billboard that hides the star until unveiling was placed back in it's red velvet box for safe keeping until the next star induction. But it won't be locked away for long, as star 2505 is scheduled to be presented to JANE LYNCH (Glee) on Wednesday, September 4, 2013 at 11:30am....all star ceremonies are free and open to the public, for more info click here
