When celebrating 4 years of a successful business you want to make sure you celebrate in style and that is exactly what ‘Gasser Lounge’ did. Over the weekend I got to witness my first “bar-ty”- what is that you ask? Well from what I saw on this weekender, “Gasocalypse’ it involves plenty of alcohol, good looking people, a pool party (yes, a pool at a bar) and LIVE bands such as 'Fart Barf' and 'Curly Wolf'. However, before I go on the wild adventure that was “Gasocalypse” let me take you back as to how my love for ‘Gasser Lounge’ (<--click to read) ensued.
I met owner Mike last year July and from the moment I approached him for an interview, he welcomed me with open arms. Mike is the guy that looks like a bad ass, most likely is a bad ass on streets (I really can’t confirm) and yet has one of the friendliest professional demeanors I’ve ever met. He always makes sure his customers are satisfied (in his establishment…Oh you know what I mean) and he always goes above and beyond to show the community his support.
Now with that being said, although Mike is a man of business he surely knows how to throw a 3 day 4 year anniversary party! I visited Saturday and Sunday and the experience I got from the weekender left me wanting more.
On Saturday I arrived around 9pm with the lovely pin up model ‘Tamera Von Tart’ and my wonderful friend Lilly- a change in schedule made for an early arrival and it seemed as though we got there in perfect time. We walked into an already crowded bar and decided to start off with some Patron shots which soon followed with a Jägermeister and RedBull that the handsome bartender Jeff served me. We met a few lovelies that got us to talk about kids and exes (yea, same difference) and then after the third drink in, “Curly Wolf” got on stage to perform.
This was my first time watching the greatness that is ‘Curly Wolf’. Their sound is a combination of Punk and Honky Tonk- two of my personal favorite genres. They definitely knew how to end my evening with some soul.
Sunday was a HOT (in more ways than one) day. I really didn’t know what to expect. I heard of a pool party, but never did I anticipate that a bar would be the location of this celebration. I arrived around 4pm, by myself, and just as what a pool party would entail, ‘Gasser Lounge’ pulled it off. There was a midsize inflatable pool with just the right amount of “floaties” to entertain and there was a lifeguard tower (safety first people) and “The Creep Machine” (don’t ask) off to the corner. I arrived to find myself with the sweetheart that is Lee and the lovelies Laura and Meg. These people in the short amount of time that I’ve known them have always been awesome to hang with. After a few pictures of the wet n’ wild outside, Laura invited me to some drinks inside- this is when the craziness started and the pictures will tell it all. Enjoy!
