For the first car show, San Fernando Valley High took a lot of preparation. Car shows unite not only family and friends but a lot of spectators. Classic cars nowadays are becoming a trend but that doesn’t necessarily mean they are cheap. Many people invest a lot of time and money into displaying their hard work - whether it’s for something as simple as a cruise and/or a car show.
With triple digit summer weather, I knew that my day was going to be long and hot. I was nervous because many people don’t know how to react to a stranger approaching them asking for an interview. Receiving side eyed looks, procrastination, and nervousness I wasn’t sure what to expect. However, when I reached the, “Artistics” the nervousness seemed to have ceased when the club was very welcoming. Not only were the guys gentleman but they were very funny and sweet.
After the interview they didn’t feel the need to rush me off but instead they offered me a seat, water and some fruit to munch on so I wouldn’t faint during my mission to interview more clubs.
The “Artistics” made my first day of interviewing a day starting and ending with confidence, good humor and hydration. Thank you, “Artistics” for showing me that chivalry isn’t dead.
