Clean Hands Tips to Stay Healthy:
- Wash your hands often. This will help protect you and others against germs.When soap and water are not available,
use alcohol-baseddisposable hand wash or gel sanitizers.
- When coughing or sneezing, cover your mouth and nose with a tissue.If you don't have a tissue, cough or sneeze
intoyour sleeve, not your hands.
- Avoid contact with people who are sick.
- If you are sick, stay home and away from other people as much as possible,to protect them from getting sick as well;
get plenty of rest and check with your doctor.
- Getting a flu shot will also protect you from getting sick.

The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health is encouraging children to
wash
their hands
to stay healthy. To help us spread the
word we are
holding
the "Clean Hands
Jingle Contest" ;
asking kids to
create a song or jingle
to
motiviate
other kids to
wash their hands.
Send us a short MP3 audio clip of your child sining an original song they
made,
promoting
the
washing of hands. The HOT listeners can vote and
the top
entries will go to the main event
for
the Grand Prize competition.
The grand prize winner of the contest will receive a $2,500 education scholarship fund!
