Who has the distinct honor of being the 2500th star on the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce Walk of Fame?

One of the most celebrated and talented celebrities in entertainment will receive the landmark 2500th Star....international superstar and America's sweetheart JENNIFER LOPEZ !!!  Although, J Lo is an actress, Film and TV producer, fashion designer, entrepreneur, philanthropist, all around entertainer and her bio could fill two pages, she will receive her star in the RECORDING category.

The event is scheduled for Thursday, June 20th at 11:30am-12:15pm in front of the W Hotel at 6262 Hollywood Blvd. and is open to the public.  If you can't make it, we hope to be on the spot to catch the special occasion.  And you can watch it broadcast live on the internet on the Walk of Fame website, click here to view or get more info on the ceremony.  And check back here on Friday for our J Lo star blog.  David Foster was star 2499 and you can view that ceremony and other past inductions here

National Flag Day!!  On June 14th, 1777, the red, white and blue Stars and Stripes were adopted by Congress as the flag of the United States.  And two years early, the United States Army was adopted by Congress.  So we celebrate both today....

June 6th we celebrate JIMMY JAM on his birthday!  He got his start in the band The Time (once an opening act for Prince) and quickly focused his talents on songwriting and producing with his partner Terry Lewis.  They produced #1 hits for Usher, Mariah Carey, Boyz II Men, George Michael and numerous for Janet Jackson!!  They also produced Grammy award winners for Chaka Khan and Mary J. Blige.

Also born on June 6th: Levi Stubbs (of The Four Tops - RIP), Robert Englund (Freddy Krueger), comedienne Sandra Bernhard, actor Paul Giamatti (Sideways/Rock of Ages) and the NBA was founded in 1946!!
