We love both the City and the magazine. Not only did Los Angeles magazine include Art Laboe in the featured article 20 Years After, Race in L.A., they also invited him to the luncheon to celebrate the April issue. Thanks LA mag for a wonderful time.

Art Laboe and Rhonda Mitchell,
the 9-1-1 operator on duty the day the LA riots broke out
Art Laboe sat at the same table as the Honorable Judge Lance Ito (you may remember him from the O.J. Simpson trial).
On April 29, 1992 the verdict from the Rodney King trial triggered an uprising in the City of Angels, which then sparked King to declare "Can't We Just Get Along?" Los Angeles magazine reflects back on that day and how things have changed since then. Art Laboe is loved by many generations and many races and is a featured Crossover in the article, click here to read
