A computer, TV station and a Cooke, have today, January 22nd and Art Laboe in common! 

Sam Cooke was born on 1/22/31 and Art Laboe booked Sam at concerts and Fan Club events before he hit the charts for the first time in 1957.  You'll always be remembered and Happy Birthday Sam!!

And according to Wikipedia on January 22nd, 1947, TV station KTLA began operation.  Art Laboe had a TV show that broadcast from the KTLA studios in the late 1950s and over the past few years Art has made appearances on the KTLA Morning News and KTLA News Anchor Chris Burrous has filled in for Art a few times.
