February 3 is known as The Day the Music Died, because on this day in 1959, the fatal plane crash in Clear Lake, Iowa that took Buddy Holly, Ritchie Valens and The Big Bopper (aka J.P. Richardson) too soon.  After a concert, they were enroute to Moorhead, Minnesota for another show and the pilot was also killed in the crash. 

The 3 rock and rollers left quite a legacy and we will always remember....
