This week is the anniversary of the popular board game Monopoly, which was invented in 1935, and it's maker, Hasbro Inc. announced there's a new Monopoly token on the way.....and it's a CAT!!  PURRRfect!  Art Laboe and his studio mascot Kittie, Terma, are very happy to hear this.  But sad news for the fans of the Iron token which received the lowest votes in an international Facebook poll that determined which piece was going to go and which piece would be added. 

The CAT beat out a helicopter, a toy robot, a diamond ring and a guitar for the new spot and joins the top hat, race car, shoe, battleship, thimble, wheelbarrow and the token with the most Facebook votes, Scottie Dog.  The new version of Monopoly is due out this summer.

So when it comes to the Monopoly tokens...the Animals have it!!
