We just had EDDIE HOLMAN on The Art Laboe Valentine's Super Love Jam concerts performing one of our most requested songs: "Hey There Lonely Girl"
The song was released in December 1969, was on the charts for 14 weeks and at the end of February 1970, "Hey There Lonely Girl" reached #2 on the Billboard charts, became a Gold selling single and the biggest hit for Eddie Holman!
This is the apparently the original video for the song.....Love those sideburns! Eddie is very subdued in this video. On stage last week, Eddie was dynamic and walking the stage from side to side, performing his falsettos with lots of bravado. After viewing the video, like Art Laboe and a fine wine...Eddie is getting better with age!!
