Pictured: Josh Kun (left) interviews Art Laboe (right) in his studio for dublab
Thanks to our friends and fellow broadcasters at dublab, a non-profit web radio station and creative collective devoted to the growth of positive music, arts and culture. In July of Last year, they enlisted dublab Board Member JOSH KUN (and curator of the Grammy Museum exhibit Art was a part of in early 2012) to interview Art Laboe in his Hollywood studio. Josh asked Art questions about his early days in radio, his listeners and fans, how the dedications began, how he stays looking so young and more. To check out the interview and many more great photos of the session.....Click here
Mark "Frosty" McNeill (pictured below repping in his black Art Laboe T-shirt), is co-founder and creative director of dublab and put the interview together as well as enlisted photographer Zen Sekizawa to shoot the event....and we caught Zen with a big smile and her camera down....
Jake Viator (pictured in the grey tee above) is the dublab Chief Engineer and recorded the interview. Pictured below right, Art points out one of his many fans that have sent in photos to be included on the studio walls. Art Laboe enjoyed the interview and Josh Kun's knowledge so much, Art presented Josh with an autographed original first pressing of Oldies But Goodies Volume 1 (pictured below left).
What a wonderful world of memories! And a great time talking about them!
THANK YOU DUBLAB future . roots . radio
