November 21, 2013 - Were you thinking The Nanny from the 1990s with Fran Drescher? Well we're taking it further back then that.....to 1970-1971 when birthday girl, JULIET MILLS (pictured above in July 2013), played the mystical Nanny Phoebe Figalilly in Nanny and the Professor. Remember watching the ABC TV Friday night line up with The Brady Bunch, Nanny...., The Partridge Family and more? Check out this promo, which we love because of the great shows AND Reuben Kinnkaid (Partridge manager) mentions "Oldies But Goodies!"
Around the same time Nanny was hot on TV, the band War began their chart topping success on the radio. And today, War founding member LONNIE JORDAN is also celebrating a birthday. Thanks to your Midday host, Tony Sandoval, for posting the photo of me with Lonnie....click here to check it out and see one of Tony's favorite War songs which you request on The Art Laboe Connection. You also call in a lot for this one...it's SO and that's Lonnie on keyboards....
HAPPY BIRTHDAY JULIET, LONNIE
and ALL our November 21st Scorpios!!

November 20, 2013 - Today is the 66th Wedding Anniversary of England's highest Royal couple, Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip (pictured above in England circa 1960s). No disrespect, but we can truly call this marriage an Oldie But Goodie!! The Prince did not come from money, so this must have been a marriage of L-O-V-E LOVE and has helped it stand the test of time. When they wed in 1947, she was Princess Elizabeth and became Queen in 1952. She is still going strong as the Queen of England and in her marriage. TheDailyBeast.com has more on the Prince and his Queen.
Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip!
And we wish that ALL COUPLES have a marriage that lasts this long......
