October is Here!!! With it comes Community Events like Walk Now for Autism Speaks-Orange County, Alzeimer's Walk and Festival in Ontario and Step Out: Walk to Stop Diabetes in Buena Park! I had the honor of being part of my friend Laurice' Poker Fundraiser last month. She walks not only for her late Father but for herself as well. Congrats on doubling your contribution this year, have a great Walk!

My friend Juan Romero, owner of Primera Taza Coffee Shop in Boyle Heights, gave me a heads up that the Community is offering a FREE Health Fair Saturday 10/13/12 at Hollenbeck Park (11a-3p). Zumbathon kicks it off at 11a and includes Free Health Check-Ups and Booster Seats for children ages 7-12 yrs. Directions HERE

Rozanna of Whittier let me know about a Memorial Fundraiser Car Wash for the Family of Patrick Ortega (Gone too soon). Two Events Saturday, starting with a Breakfast Fundraiser at Belvedere Park followed by a Car Wash at the East LA Boys & Girls Club at Noon.
