Many car clubs have the "classic" look, but there are always a few that choose to be different from the rest. The 'Flojos' car club is one in particular.
President Moises Arrizon gave me the 411 on why he chose to go on a different route (see what I did there??).
SMC: Hello Moises. So why didn't you go with the classic body and style for the 'Flojos' cars?
Moises: When the club first originated, amongst friends, they all owned Toyota trucks. It was from that point on that the decision to be unique and maintain the club with these types of mini trucks.

SMC: When did the club first start?
Moises: The 'Flojos' were established in 1985 in Sun Valley. It was years later that they made the car club into the SFV (San Fernando Valley) chapter.
SMC: How long have you been the President of the 'Flojos'?
Moises: I have been President since the year 2008. I was secretary first and the president at the time stepped down. The club took a vote for the next president and I was chosen and have been President for 12 years now.
SMC: That's RAD to be the chosen main guy. What got you into cars?
Moises: My 2 older brothers, Oscar and Gabriel, were the first ones to introduce me and my brother, Louie Arrizon-Vice President, in the car scene. It was only a matter of time 'til we followed in their footsteps.

SMC: That's great that you keep a passion for cars within family.
Moises: With our members it starts with friendship but, the bond becomes so close that we see each other as family.
SMC: How many members are there?
Moises: We have 20 members and 20 cars. A few of our members here today (other than me and my brother the VP) are; Jose Bahena, Luis Soto, and "BIG Ernie."

SMC: Do your members have to be male?
Moises: No. Im open to the idea for females to join, however, they MUST own a Toyota mini truck.
SMC: I can appreciate a co-ed car club. That's AWESOME! So on that note, if you ever catch yourself cruising the streets and happen to see a Toyota mini truck with all its trimmings-you may just be passing by the unique men of, the 'Flojos.'
