This past weekend I went to ‘Bob’s Big Boy’ in
There were several prizes awarded such as; gift cards for best costume(s) and trophy’s for “Best Hot Rod, Cruiser, Custom, Classic, Truck, Muscle Car, and Manager’s choice”. Scroll down to see some of my favorite winners and participants.

Winner for “Best Truck” went to Marci and David J David who displayed their 4 door 1946 HUDSON Pick-up. David explained that his need for speed was the reason behind the engine modification. He wanted “250 horsepower at the rear wheels” and he accomplished that by installing a 5.4 Lincoln Navigator V-8 engine.

It's clear that with a dapper man such as Robert Corrado- there's no better way to arrive than with a classic such as this 1934 Packard. This black beauty won, "Best Classic" and one that a few dolls loved to pose with.

Winner for “Best Hot Rod” went to Alan and Elaine Behrse who brought in their 1929 Ford 5 window coupe. This dreamy blue Rod carried an 8BA engine with an Offenhauser intake, Stromberg 97 carbs, and Mercury heads. Carrying a transmission from a ‘39 Mercury and the Rear end from a ‘48

...And of course no car show would be complete without the lovely dames that show up.
First prize win for “Best Costume” went to Sydney Ralston who wore shimmery gold capris with a silk, black scooped neck shirt.
Second prize win went to Jennifer Zamudio who wore a lovely black dress with red trim and leopard bow pumps.
and one of the finalists was Arrika Brooke Palmer Smith who wore a plaid skirt, white button up school girl outfit and Mary Jane shoes.
For a chilly evening I was impressed with the car loving crowd! I was informed that EVERY FIRST SATURDAY OF THE MONTH, **Bob's Big Boy will be holding these type of "themed Cruise-In's". See the flyer below for further details and mark your calendar! See you there!

**The flyer pertains ONLY to the Burbank location. For more car show locations please see 'Car Shows Around Town" at the side of blog.
