A 19-year-old Marine finished last in his age group in a 5K race in Michigan but he won a lot of hearts in the process.
When the Marine ran past a 9-year-old boy that got separated from the rest of the group he had to answer his calls for help.
The boy was struggling to finish the race, so the Marine decided to run by his side after the boy asked him for help. The Marine stayed with him and encouraged him to finish the race.
The Marine was the last to cross the finish line in his age group.
His fellow Marines were so worried about his slow time that they thought he got injured during the race.
